Last night at the Commander in Chief Ball, Obama had a surprise for the audience. A screen came down and it was a satellite feed of Illinois Army National Guard troops serving over in Afghanistan. It's hilarious when one of the first troops tells Obama that he hopes Obama comes back to Afghanistan soon to sit down with some of the great Afghans they are working with. Sounded kind of like a challenge to me!
Then after the "west side or south side?" niceties, Obama asked them one by one, "White Sox or Cubs?" With one exception, (even AFTER knowing the Chosen One's preference) they all said "Cubs!" Obama feigned slight disappointment, but it was a good laugh had by all.
