Easy to tell the fake. The zoom was that of a professional lens. A camcorder (like what those kids would have been using) gives you 1, maybe 4 speeds of zoom, and would never react like the lens you see going in & out.
This whole multiple zoom in/out thing is bogus too. Pros don't do that, and certainly wouldn't zoom for focus as something like this is happening before them. And doing it with a handycam is of no use either. It was a "look how home-made this video is!" attemp More..
