'Goat Grabbing' In Afghanistan
Banned under the Taliban, the beloved but often violent game of Buzkashi, or "goat grabbing," is on the rise in Afghanistan. Thousands of spectators flock to the outskirts of Kabul to watch teams from 18 provinces compete in an annual tournament. Players on horseback try to carry the headless carcass of a goat around a flag before depositing it into a chalk circle.
