CCTV,August 23/09:Bronx.Store clerk shot twice in the leg while wrestling robberA tough Bronx store clerk was shot twice during a wild wrestling match with a gun-toting robber - and a surveillance camera captured the entire, minute-long smackdown.

The courageous clerk took two bullets to his left leg during the bitter hand-to-hand combat but managed to rip the gun out of the fleeing perp's hands.

The dramatic clash unfolded Sunday when the suspect walked into a clothing store on Southern Blvd. shortly before 2:30 p.m. and approached the counter, flashing a hangun, police said.

He ordered store employees to fill plastic bags with clothing - and his demand was met.

As one employee handed the suspect the clothing-stuffed bags, the tenacious 21-year-old clerk floored him with an NFL-quality tackle.

The perp fought back and got to his feet, but the clerk was literally on his back the entire time, attempting to gain control of the gun.

The clerk managed to get his feet on the ground and then pulled a move that would make Hulk Hogan proud - he lifted the perp into the air and - all in one motion - spun him around and slammed him to the floor.

The clerk landed on top of perp -taking out a female mannequin in the process.

The battle continued on the floor at that point, with the perp briefly gaining the upper hand. But the clerk raged back and rammed his adversary into a glass display case.

The two continued to tangle for at least twenty more seconds after that. The perp had the clerk in a headlock, but the tough-as-nails clerk muscled him to the floor, continuing to battle for the gun.

The perp, at this point on his feet, feverishly attempted to grab the gun and split - but the clerk, who was on the ground, refused to back down.

Eventually, the perp had had enough and fled the store. He hopped into a black getaway car, police said.

The perp fired three shots during the brawl. Two shots hit the clerk in the leg; the second jammed inside the gun, police said.

The clerk was taken to Lincoln Hospital where he was in stable condition.
