Safe Mode: On
Society's Responsibility To It's Children And To Itself...

Letter from the Editor,

Well, I wanted to write an article about the negativity so predominant in our society today, but without being to negative. I wonder if it is possible to do. I’d like to start by saying that this is my opinion and I don’t expect everyone to agree with me, so without further ado….

Why is society as a whole mostly an ignorant bunch? What causes people to become so negative in their thinking, in their actions, in how they treat other people and most importantly in how they see the world?

I’d venture to say that the media is a large part of it. If you take a minute and click on the news, whether it be the fake war on terrorism, murder, bank robberies, rape, gas prices etc etc, it’s all there. What’s up with this? Why does it seem that the media doesn’t want to share anything positive with us? There must be a lot of good things going on in the world. It can’t be as bad as they say can it?

I say that it is part of a larger conspiracy against us all. I would go as far as to say the govt. doesn’t want us being positive. They want to trap us into feelings of despair and negativity. That way, we’ll not pay attention to the real events taking place that will forever shape our lives, forever change them for the worse if we let them.

You see, the US govt. is trying to focus our attention on other things so that we don’t pay attention on the real issues at hand, things like the war on terrorism, which is truly a farce. There is absolutely no war on terrorism simply because there is no terrorism going on. Show me where Al Qaida is hurting America. Show me where they are blowing up govt. buildings; show me where they are killing people. Show me! Seriously.

There is nothing to fear from Al Qaida. They didn’t even blow up anything on Sept 11. That was a setup by the US govt. to change public opinion in order to wage a war. What is the reason for this you might ask? Profit, pure and simple. Money.

The only place where Al Qaida is causing problems is in their own back yard. They are a bunch of rag tag losers without proper funding on their own to accomplish any real world terror. Sure, they may be involved with some of the killings of US troops in Afghanistan, but I doubt it. In Iraq they aren’t even in the picture.

Your US govt. has created a fictional story to make you the people and citizens of planet earth believe you need their protection from these uber bad men. Again I say, it is not true. Never in the history of the US has terrorism caused anything bad to happen. Even the Oklahoma City bombing was an inside job. I mean, the govt. even had all of their people out before the explosion, and this was on a normal day when most people would have been sitting in their offices picking their damn noses on taxpayer dollars.

So, you might ask yourself what we can do about this. You might ask yourself how we all got to this point. I believe that one answer lies in the fact that the people of the US have gotten far too complacent in that they want their govt. to do everything for them. Examples of this would be always expecting the govt. to step in and fix something. Fix it yourself or quit complaining I say! Quit expecting your govt. to always be your momma. Grow up and become responsible! If your children are failing in school, you fix it. Be a responsible parent and stop working 12 hours a day and be at home when they are back from school. Don’t allow them to be unsupervised for long periods of time. They need parental guidance. Quit expecting the school system to raise them. It isn’t up to the school and the teachers to raise your children. It’s yours. You wonder why kids at 12 are having sex. It’s called no parental supervision.

Have you ever thought of home schooling your kids? Oh I’m sorry, the govt. wants to make that illegal as well. Apparently, the govt. knows what’s best for little Johnny. Why is that? Don’t you as parents feel so stupid? Home schooling is probably part of the answer to societal issues pertaining to our children. Why, might you ask? It’s because of peer pressure at school. What causes this peer pressure? I’d venture to say it’s because you don’t do your job as parents and dictate what they can or cannot watch on TV. I’d venture to say that if the parents don’t watch their kids, the kids will govern themselves with TV, with culture, with drugs, with whatever is going on in their world.

Let me ask you something. How many of you feel that your children are too overburdened by world affairs? An example of this is the immigration issue. Why are children as young as 7 being allowed to worry about illegal Mexicans? Why are they being allowed to roam the city streets in protest of illegal immigration, whether it be for or against it?

The children need to be in school to learn and that’s all folks. Today’s kids know nothing about respect, they know nothing about sexuality morality, and they know nothing about decision making or self responsibility. They feel at the top of the world right now because they are made to feel like their opinion counts. Wake up! It doesn’t. They are kids. They need to learn things, they need to eat healthy, and they need to do their chores and they need to sleep 8 solid hours….period.

How do we solve all these problems facing us today? I’d say that it starts with you as parents. Don’t try to be your kids buddy or friend. That is not what the bible says. The bible tells us if we spare the rod, we will spoil the child. If your kids are being bad, then be a responsible parent and let them know about it.

How do we solve the problems with our govt? Be conscious during life. Be aware. Be explorative and seek out truth and knowledge. Don’t let your govt. dictate your life. You dictate your govt. Remember that the govt. is of the people, by the people, and for the people. In all actuality, your US govt. is probably more socialistic now than ever before. They rule you. I don’t think that’s fair, do you?

Stay tuned, I’ll write more later.
