I checked the UK media in particular for this story today. It's amazing the bias. In Israel, they show a hole in the ground made by an ineffective Qassam. In Palestine, they show propagandists proclaiming "immoral war," wailing mothers and throngs of mourners surrounding bloody rags we presume to contain dead children.

@hardcoremedic That's called counter battery or counter barrage. They use radars to track the trajectory of incoming projectiles, then calculate their point of launch. Those coordinates are punched into the fire control computers and artillery is fired back at the assholes. The U.S. is very good at this so I'm assuming Israel has the technology too.

@bantexkaa Don't quote me on it, but in a nutshell the ID rockets track incoming projectiles and explode in the vicinity of their target....they don't actually hit the incoming rocket, just blow it to peices with concussive force. I'm sure the IDF LLer's will chime-in with more/better details.
