Teen Jailed In Cat Killing Case

September 17 - Bexar County Jail after he was charged with the mutilation and killing of three cats. Austin Patterson was arrested Sunday in Live Oak and was charged with three counts of torture and killing an animal.

Universal City police said that the cats were found laying on plywood with their heads crushed and their feet bound with duct tape. "Very gruesome, a lot of blood," said Lt. Bill Gabbard of the Universal City Police Department. "You just can't fathom, can't understand why someone would take out hate and aggression on an animal."

All three cats had been dismembered and one was disemboweled, Gabbard said. Several cutting instruments were found on the ground, including a hammer and nails, Gabbard said. Police are looking into the possibility that the cats were used for satanic rituals, Gabbard said. Patterson was jailed in lieu of $61,000 bond.

Thankfully this pathetic individual is an adult and will (hopefully) be prosecuted under the new law making such acts a felony. Either way, he will rot in hell when he eventually gets there.

Indeed. Effective September 1, 2007 a new law here in Texas makes heinous animal abuse acts such as this a felony. Hell yes!

The idea of young boys being servely punished gets you off? Im shocked. Kids bond was less OJs atleast. Planning on going to "visit" the kid while his dysfunctional family figures out they can only raise six dollars for bail and will need to let some "dirty sawthuuuurn lawyaaaaaaa" represent him "pro-bone-o." Guess who got the call!!! doooo doood oooooddddddddoooooooooooooooooooooooooo! "

  • A judge is BS, it should ALWAYS be a jury of experts, not a single "ALMIGHTY" person... You have obviously not encountered injustice in court. My wife has. She lost 17 trials concerning her kid (from her first marriage), just because she was vegetarian (and the general public is not). I have read all the court papers. UNBELIEVABLE bullsh*t... The court was ALWAYS wrong (several different judges). She has clearly shown (and had evidence from national food experts in our country) that sh More..

  • I am not saying people can't be held accountable, I am saying we're getting partial information here. Based on that information, it is impossible to tell to what extent is that guy evil and to what extent is he sick. Sick people need curing in a mental institution, evil people (who know what they're doing and are able to regulate it) need standard prison. You cannot make a sick person "non-sick" by imprisonment only.

  • Well, guys, you don't know sh*t what made that guy do those atrocities! Maybe it was something like what made YOU WISH TO KILL HIM! Do you understand - we all CAN be turned into killing machines if the conditions are "right"??? I can imagine TONS of scenarios, where he was a victim of some serious abuse (not necessarily physical), which resulted in these disgusting actions. First understand the case, then judge the perpetrator. However, that individual is, without doubt, in need of ser More..

    • "Some people are just simply easier to make do bad stuff than others. Not their fault." Doesn't matter if it's "their fault" or not. The only good solution is to remove them from society. Rehabilitation is pointless. Why put so much effort to rehabilitate someone like that when there are plenty of other people who don't need to be rehabilitated in the first place. Just dispose of them, they are the scum of society and it shouldn't matter whether they can help it or not.

  • All I am saying is that this video is a clear example of mass media BS. They just state the facts about the actions, but they fail to mention the reasons behind them. It's called propaganda - taking stuff out of context in order to make someone look worse or better than he actually is... Of course the guy, who did this, is sick. No question about that. The thing is to see, whether he did that "just for fun" or whether he did that because he suffered something we others did not (and the More..

  • I am from the Czech Republic (Central Europe). I am not talking about the current US model of a jury, I am talking about a jury of EXPERTS in the specific relevant fields. Perfection is unattainable, but experts should definitely be more able to assess the individual's situation than a single judge. Of course that motives and circumstances in general should play a major role. No two crimes are the same (despite identical results). Also, I don't acknowledge total BS like "attempted" mur More..

If the long of the law should enforece the rights of animals, should it not enforce the right's of vince vaughn and have you incarcerated for misrepresenting him? Your avatar is an affront to everything the man represents, including his "sophmoric" character.

Defense attornies can work pro-bone-hom-o, can they not? Sorry I assumed you did. (Ill keep your moonlighitng a secret) ;)

Oh, now I get it. The constipation has backed up into your cranium. At first I thought you had the ability to engage in rational discourse (actually, I am lying but still trying to be polite). Now I see that you are simply a failed comedienne (fm).
