@asylumta2 Man GOOD for you. It has taken its toll on me. nearly 50 years of smoking has left me with COPD, Emphysema, breathing treatments and limited activity somewhat. Im otherwise in very good shape for being 65, but you cant do anything without air. I have good days and bad days. Between getting my lungs burned during war and smoking, my lungs are shot.
I hope you are feeling better!
Dont backslide, like many of US do.

@tat2d thanks for the encouragement.much appreciated.the habit was the hardest bit to break.i still think about tobacco when i'm having a few beers.that's when i miss it most tbh.but i only think about it:)i've no idea why he thumbed us down.

technically speaking a member of Cnidaria Scyphozoa.
the group known as cnidaria has been around since the cambrian period, possible even earlier. So, not an alien.
Cnidaria are an amazingly diverse group with species ranging from corals, being one of the simplest lifeforms on the planet to the feared box or cube jellyfish, one of the most poisonous animals known to man.

Incredible!
Perfect camouflage. So the octy's eyes see the plant, brain instructs body to mimic it and the blend is perfect (as far as a digital imaging system's resolution allows).
All that is needed is a camo outfit for the army that does 10% of that and soldiers would be even harder to see and therefore to find to shoot at.

@Triode It's not just the coloring that it mimics, it also mimics the sophisticated texture - which IMO is the coolest part of all. Their brain neurons run throughout their entire body, and their stomach runs right through the middle of the two brain lobes, very odd setup.

the US army is designing a thin thermal chemical sheet that can be wrapped around any object and the sheet would instantly scan and react to its surroundings and blend in....problem is it cost $10 million to wrap a object the size of baseball with the thermal sheet but expects the cost to be in the thousand when it goes in full production in about 5 years...a truly stealth tank is very possible to the naked eye.....
