Japanese Flag War Trophy
This flag has been hanging on my best mates simons wall for 20 years when his dad died in 1980 it came in to his possesion and he had it framed. His father fought in the burma and indochina in ww2 never talked about his experiences as many wouldnt. After the war he went on to be a senior police officer in Palestine and witnessed the modern terrorism and talked oftern of shooting fucking arabs and je
More..ws .he retired from duty in his 50s having served all over the world .When he died they had to call out the bomb disposal because he had collected as an officer many live munitions mortar rounds grenades machine guns pistols etc infact they found his service revolver loaded in his bed side cabinet. This flag means much to my mate he said yeah photographe it etc but be carefull,so i managed to smash the frame and luckily didnt damage the flag japanese silk naval pennant which he took of some dead japanese soldier towards the end of the war in august just before the bombs. Its blood stained at the bottom and covered in shrapnel holes as he said they didnt take any chances.RIP Captain Gwyther. Wow.
Mortars and munitions? LMAO!
I had a buddy who's grandfather was a packrat of nazi paraphernalia that he brought back from the war.
He even stored a lot of it in an old junk car behind his house. I wouldnt be surprised if he had an MG-42 in the attick.LOL!

I know an old guy here in the states who fought in Burma. What stories. He has photos to back them up. He was convinced he'd die anyway, so the thought of execution for treason (if he took photos) didn't bother him. a great old man. Every time I see him I thank him that my kids grew up speaking English instead of German or Japanese.

A true piece of history. See if anyone knows anything about it. Might be a family somewhere wanting it or at least to see it! Thanks,
