CLCs contribute to finding enemy weapons (Arab Jabour)

FORWARD OPERATING BASE KALSU, Iraq – Concerned Local Citizens helped remove enemy weapons from Arab Jabour Jan. 27.

CLCs in Arab Jabour reported two anti-aircraft artillery guns to Soldiers from Company D, 1st Battalion, 30th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division, from Fort Stewart, Ga.

An explosive ordnance disposal team investigating the site discovered a third AAA gun buried in the ground, protected by an improvised explosive device.

The EOD team destroyed the weapons and IED in a controlled detonation.
