    • @anglosaxonwarlord ..of course, you are 100% correct, that was a terrible mess. I wonder why they are calling it like this, I heard the bbc say something similar earlier, most strange and wrong of them.

    • @thecleaner001 Some of the best beaches were smothered but you would be hard pressed to find any permanent damage that you can see.the cleaner could have made some serious money working on that mammoth clean up

    • @mormacr I saw a statement from Shell earlier admitting the slick was 'only' 30 miles long and just a half-mile-wide and the sea would naturally disperse it. there was no mention of the sea birds that land on the oil or of marine pollution in general. Apparently, they are pushing old equipment to the max to extract the last of the Brent Crude which is worth so much to the UK.

    • @killingforgod Yet people will still fork out the extra cash, people are addicted to oil and the oil companies know it.

    • @sungam

Too bad filthy pig politicians from both sides of the aisle have the oil companies in their pockets.

We will never get weened off oil because of it.

  • shit happens. they'll clean it up. im nut pushing my fucking car or rowing my boat. it is a necessary evil. i live off of the coast of the recent bp oil spill in the gulf. shit got cleaned up, the damage was 2% of what the media claimed it would be to keep everyone on the tit, and tourism was up 10% from the summer before the spill.
