  • Don't worry we already have blood sucking bankers and politicians that are 10000000000000000 time more deadly.

  • This is a completely hyped news story. The rabies victim was not a Louisiana teen. He was Mexican. He got bit by a vampire bat in Mexico and didn't seek any medical attention. Ten days later, the man came to the U.S. to work, and he became sick soon after and died.

This is the first time someone has died of rabies from a vampire bat in the United States, but the disease has still never been contracted in the United States from a vampire bat. Vampire bats barely even inhabit the United Stat More..

    • @buzzardist That explains a lot. Very pathetically misleading. It really shows you how desperate they are to perpetuate the global warming narrative.

People have simply stopped talking about it. It's going away the same way the many many previous doomsday hysterias have gone away. People just move on to the next one.

      LMAO great minds think alike.

This story is nothing but BS!

Of course they throw the "climate change" nonsense so they can get a two for one in this media lie!

  • If you say to yourself "Look at that cute bat with the Santa beard" then go inside quickly.

The report itself was alarmist. First came the horror movie comparison. Then the notion that bats are in our airplanes (Well, only one. And not a vampire). And then the mysterious bat plague. The "bat plague" is not a mystery at all, but a well documented, mapped out, and reasonably well controlled cave fungus infection originating in the northeastern states.

And give me a break on the global warming business.

Please place your folding tray in the upright position.

In the seat pocket in front of you, you will find an airsickness bag...loaded with day old diaper pudding. Place mask over nose and mouth prior to attending children.

  • I live in Austin Texas and the bats here seem to be doing just fine. Was driving down the road the other day and saw about 10,000 of them just flying along the highway. Looked like a cloud of smoke.

  • More media hype.

For the record this was a "mexican" teenager who was bitten in Mexico and came here after he was infected.

    Big time media fail!

    • @rclark951 that would be a pretty lame excuse but better then none. On the other hand if "war on drugs" doesn't convince the feds to militarize the border, bats won't make a bit of difference either. Besides its probably bullshit story anyway. Bats have to have somewhere to hide, in Central American (NOT South America!) where these things are from, there is plenty of trees and jungle. I doubt a critter with so specific a diet and climate could adapt to living up north.

    • @rclark951 I think i'll repost a story about the South American killer bees making their way north that the media was screaming about a few years ago, and that seemed to have changed their minds since then.

  • Is it just me or is there a record number of things to worry about these days? Would it kill the media to report some happy shit?
