    New Megaupload

What this people don't realize is that the Internet can't be censored, sure you can try but there will always be someone with backup copies ready to reupload everything somewhere else and there will always be "pirates" that's how it works, either start arresting everybody or give up.

    • @Ferrante - As I posted in another thread, to share the knowledge of how it works:

You might not have a DNS (www.whateverhere.com) but so long as you have a IP and people know it, you can run a site. And also it does not have to run off port 80 and/or 8080.

Example: 123.456.789.123:99 - this would be a site running on said IP address running on port 99. Unless they stop the web or ban your internet connection, they cannot stop that, especially if its not on US soil. I know Latvia for example u More..

  • That wasn't a good idea anon.

Now the government are going to push through this sopa and pipa bullshit.
Anonymous got trolled by the FBI, RIAA and MPA. They knew doing this would provoke massive attacks against them, they wanted this.

    Anon dun goofed.

  • I think this is called "shooting oneself in the foot" ! You have given the government a real good incentive to push the sopa through .

    • @wonderwhen
      Type
      &comments=1
at the end of the address in the address bar, press enter, comments will now display without having to comment.

Why their "Show Comments" button doesn't do this is beyond me.

    • @wonderwhen click the comment tag under the video. Even if it says 0 comments its usually lying to you

    • @sungam It happens because my item is still in 'pre approved' mode once it is approved by a mod the 'show comments' button will appear.

Also this was not a fail for anonymous. It was horrible timing on the Governments part - they should have known anti SOPA was at an all time high and backed off, or done it years ago.

    • @wonderwhen This happens all the time. The easiest way to take care of it: When looking thru the videos from such as the home page, under the description you will see comments, usually in red. Click it instead of the thumb or description. It will open the page, just as it normally does, but will always show the comments this way. Give it a try. Its the way I always open a vid now.

Not likely, this "attack" was not technical in the least. Anonymous doesn't have the capability to infiltrate, they simply just overwhelm the servers with more than usual traffic. It'd be like a bunch of hippies camping out in a park and then thinking they would be capable of accomplishing anything beyond that.

    • @khartoba What are you talking about? some members are noobs pointing LOIC or script kiddies but some are extremely experienced. Probably will be more database leaks to follow since protection goes down when you get pinged to death.

I would venture to say the experienced ones are smart enough to know when to say when. Those that didn't are currently serving prison sentences.
