aerial acrobatics lesson
TV icon Carol Vorderman was battered by 35mph winds as she took to the skies at the Best of British air show. The former Countdown presenter, and Rear of the Year winner, yesterday flew into the heavens to celebrate the start of this year's show at Cotswold Airport, Kemble, Glos., to celebrate British Aviation, and raise money for charity. Keen amateur pilot Carol, 51, who is working towards taking her Private Pilot's License, was flown by pilot Mark Greenfield in a Bulldog - an ex-RAF training plane. Carol was put through her paces during the 20 minute flight, performing air acrobatics, including dangerous stall turns - where the engine is SWITCHED OFF to perform incredibly tight turns.
