Ford Motor Co. posts third-quarter profit. $997,000,000

“They did it by themselves and didn’t take government money. That gives people a good gut feeling and they’re being rewarded for that.”

Nov. 2 -- Ford Motor Co., the only major U.S. automaker to avoid bankruptcy, posted third-quarter net income of $997 million and its first operating profit since early 2008 on smaller discounts and higher sales.

On an adjusted basis, Ford More..

  • Obama ordered that the UAW bring FORD down, and they will deliver it to their master. UAW thugs and Chicago thugs all in bed together.

Yep. The UAW is already *****ing and moaning about larger and larger contracts. Unless and until Ford can overcome the unions, Ford will remain in danger.

    I agree.

It makes me inclined to go out and buy my next pickup truck from Ford, just as a reward for their good work.

Ford was never in big trouble. They're diversified.

GM & Chrysler were an entirely different scenario.

So did Chrysler and GM. If that was the secret to Ford's success then Chrysler and GM should also be profitable. Hell, they should be even more profitable than Ford since they took huge cash infusions from the government. But we all know they are circling the bowl.

We did the same here in Germany with Mercedes Benz, BMW, VW etc. needed help and our government invented the so called Abrwackpremie to help selling new cars.
