FORT MYERS, FL -- Rescuers carved through concrete for two hours Thursday to save a three-year-old boy whose arm was stuck in a pool skimmer.
Gabriel Furr was sitting near the side of the pool when his arm became stuck.
The child's mother in was the Marsh Landing Clubhouse pool with him when he stuck his arm into the skimmer.
The biggest worry for the firefighters was maintaining Gabriel's body temperature while they tried to free him with air chisels and concrete saws.
They were also worried about hurting his arm as they chipped away at the outside of the pool to free him.
Gabriel was taken to Lee Memorial Hospital with a piece of the pipe still around his arm.
Doctors have since removed the pipe and Gabriel is now in good condition.
