Denver news anchor Kyle Dyer describes dog bite she received on air.

A Denver news anchor is speaking out for the first time after being severely injured when a dog bit her on the face during a TV interview. Earlier this month, Kyle Dyer was interviewing the owner of an 85-pound Argentine Mastiff who was rescued from icy waters. While petting the dog’s face, Dyer leaned in to kiss his nose when the dog lurched forward and bit her face.

  • Well good thing she's not blaming the dog. Hopefully other people will learn that dogs don't like you in their face, no matter how many "coochee-coo" noises you make or how you tickle them. If the dog doesn't see you as its master, always be on your guard because it won't hesitate to let you know when enough is enough and you are just too damned close. If you are its master, the "pack leader", then you can pretty much do what you want. But that kind of relationship takes mont More..

    • @WolfBite120 someone needs to put a bullet in that idiotic human before it kills another dog. If you are not in his face he will not bite you. You're supposed to be the smarter one. So give strange dogs more room.

  • Getting right in the face of a dog who doesn't know you, and staring it in the eyes is a challenging gesture.

    Some people are so clueless.

  • My fiance was bitten twice in the face by a family Rottweiler. My nephew was attacked by a piece of shit pit. These dogs were both raised better than most children. They are dangerous animals, doesn't matter what these stupid hippie fucks try to say about "Its how you raise them wa wa wa". The dogs earned their reputation. Dobermans don't have it. Beagles don't have it. Labs don't have it. Nor do poodles, dalmatians, American bulldogs, etc etc etc. The bad rep that pits and rots get is More..

    • @Tempted It's not a pitbull and it's not a rottweiler.

And yeah, it's about the owner. I've owned a few dogs in my time. The latter ones were not unpredictable because I got better at handling them. And that was because I was better at reading their behaviour. Something handler and show host lacks.

  • you know she really hates that dog and would burn it alive if she could. Her career is ruined which is sad. the dog was just being a dog and the woman was just being a woman.

  • That little 'nibble' created a lot more serious of a wound than it originally looked. Those surgeons did an INCREDIBLE job. I think she's as pretty and well spoken as she ever was. Lucky girl. I wish her well.

  • I think she was very generous, seems like a nice woman. Not sure I'd have been so forgiving, a dog is a domestic animal and it should be safe to handle. If its not, then it shouldn't be in our community.
