A Dingo Took My .....

If a Dingo did this, the baby never stood a chance ..... in all seriousness, those of you with a long memory might remember this, the newbies won't.

Lindy Chamberlain, the mother who was convicted of murdering her baby Azaria (and who always blamed a Dingo), recently had all convictions quashed, but the Government still refuses to issue any apology.

This will forever remain a contentious issue for many Australians, and be part of our folklore for many years to come. 32 years after the event (August 1980), strong opinions and discussions are still held about what really happened. Wikipedia has more info if you're interested.
Here's the odd thing, the more research that is done into Dingo's and their behaviour, the more likely it seems that Lindy was telling the truth. I'm sticking with the Dingo theory.

Mind you, Dingo's aren't as bad as DropBears, but that's another story for another day .....

  • I've owned a few Queensland Heelers that are descended from Dingos.Great dogs, loyal and great with kids... but Heelers can one of the meanest and fiercest bastards on four legs.Had one on my horse ranch that tore the shit out of a Pitbull that strayed on to our property. It's not the size of the dog in the fight,it's the size of the fight in the dog.

Just get a Blue or Red Queensland Heeler (Australian Cattle Dog). Same thing.Look exactly the same but is domesticated and is one of the smartest dogs in the world.
The amazing Skidboot was a Heeler.

I don't know if you've ever met any but they are the most wacky of the (possibly) Christian cults.

David Koresh of Waco and the Branch Davidians infamy were a subsidiary SDA cult.

The only SDA claim to fame was the creation of Kellogs and Sanitarium as a result of a furious feud between two SDA members competing for the vegetarian business market.

The SDA founder was an obviously mentally deranged woman in the US Civil War era who continually kept p More..

  • As intelligent, cunning, tenacious, predatory and resilent as the Dingo's are, I would not put it past them to have carried out the alleged death or abduction of the womans little one. Many animals since this case have been recorded in the abduction and deaths of little ones, unfortunately just another food source to them.

I have a funny story to tell. When I lived in California I would take my vacations a month at a time to buy and sell horses to make a few extra bucks.I traveled mainly to Oklahoma as there is really good horse stock there. One of the ranchers who had a cattle and horse outfit I dealt with had ten or so of these Heelers.Only one was allowed inside. The Alpha dog named Waco. He'd come in at night while we were sitting watching TV and having a beer. One night he came in and it was obviou More..
