  • I will allways sympathise with Russia (USSR), and The heroic people of Russia, they had the most basic and crude technology (yet reliable), but they fought with their hearts, they really loved their land.

    My respect for your endurance in the rough years in Leningrad.

      Yes, it was founded by Peter the great, but he was russian not french, so my question still stands, why insist on calling it Petersburgh? it should be Petrograd, which means the same but in russian language (as it should be).

      Petrograd = the town of peter (in russian)
      Petersburgh = the town of Peter (in french).

      Russians speak russian, hence, Petrograd.
