@Tin Man seems like it's winter or early spring. so, the winter gloves make sense - he doesn't have to worry about his hands freezing from the cold steel and going numb. dexterity is an issue, but I guess it's not as bad as loosing dexterity due to frost bite :)

I jumped out of an airplane once. Ever since then, hieghts give me the creeps. Seriously, skydiving did permanent damage to by brain. I only did it once because it scared the wits out of me. Now, there is NO WAY I could ever do it again. Just watching these videos freaks me out.
