Islamic State of Iraq army (a front for Al-Qaeda in Iraq), fights what they term 'crusaders' (ie Americans) and 'apostates' (Iraqi army), and hangs up what they say are American hands in the streets of the 'emirate'.
The events date from Operation Arrowhead (2007), but the material has been recently rehashed by Al-Qaeda into this new video and issues a threat to the Iraqi government. They mock the Iraqi government, saying that they caused so much carnage while the Americans were there, how will the Iraqis now alone deal with them as they continue their campaign. The Al-Qaeda campaign in Iraq has indeed resurged to new heights since the US withdrawal. The many coordinated IEDs and suicide bombs coincide with the similar false 'jihad' announced simultaneously in Syria. The US is supporting the 'Free Syrian Army' which is heavily composed of foreign mercenaries, extremists and takfiris. Takfir is the rendering of other Muslims apostates, especially governments, and calling to 'jihad' to overthrow them. The takfiri is also characterised by perpetrating acts of terrorism in Western countries against disbelievers, for example 911. Most of the attackers in that came from Saudi Arabia which is one of the main backers today of the 'Free Syrian Army'. Saudi Arabia, with CIA help, was also a major backer of the Afghan mujahideen who later turned against both Saudi Arabia and USA.
