I'm guessing he exposed himself to the wrong viral vectors in one of his lab experiments and it sent him right off the deep end. His profile seems normal and all of the people that have been interviewed that know him say this is completely out of the ordinary for him. Seriously, read about this process. This guy was going for a PhD in neuroscience? Like they say, there is a fine line between being a genius and insanity.
