"You are not special": The commencement speech grads need to hear
David McCullough, Jr., the son of the famous historian, delivers a forceful message to Wellesley High School graduates. Wellesley is a very high-brow, high-achieving school. McCullough has apparently taken a lot of criticism and flak for the speech.
Personally, I don't know what there is to criticize.

There was nothing wrong with this speech...except for the part about the parrots on roller skates, cuz I've seen that vid and it's totally awesome.
Mr. McCullough, his father, was certainly one of the greatest modern historians of our age. His history lessons on Panama ("The Path Between the Sea"), Brooklyn Bridge and several other subjects are Pulitzer Prize gems, and worthy reads.
