news reports a teen mob attacked a Gold Coast bus, smashing windows and
doors with metal bars as terrified passengers and the driver cowered
inside.
Surfside Australia released the terrifying footage to media yesterday.


It showed a gang of 30 teenage boys emerging from the darkness at Burleigh about 11.30pm on Sunday.


Passengers were chatting as they boarded the bus bound for Surfers Paradise, unaware of the teenage mob surrounding them.


Only the driver realised the potential danger and called for Surfside security, but it was too late.


About 15 passengers and the driver were trapped as the teenagers struck the bus windows with star pickets and rocks.


A metal bar that shattered one window missed passenger Brooke Fairbairn by inches.

Panicked passengers cowered on the floor and begged the driver to depart as the bus was pelted with metal bars and rocks.


Windows and a glass door were shattered on the new $350,000 bus.


No one knows the reason for the attack, which came on the first weekend of the school holidays.
