@pluvial I was thinking the same thing but I think the front wheel chuck would have hit the guide if it were just above the bottom of the deck.

@MattCyrus can't believe the clearance isn't adjustable. Normally you should leave about an inch or so between the blade guide and top of the wood for a more accurate cut. Just saying!
