I have the springfield M1A Socom 16 (16 inch barrel) in a Troy MCR stock (MUCH better than the SAGE you see there), with a EOTech Holographic sight designed for .308 bullet drop, a grip pod (bipod/foreend grip), and a Surefire G2 mounted just in front. All in all, I believe the total came to 3.4-4 grand, somewhere in there. Oh, and I also bought some aftermarket parts for it, namely the Sadlak Industries guide rod (makes the action so much smoother). It can get pretty pricey.

The m1a or the m1a with the ebr stock? I finally paid off mine a couple weeks ago. I purchased it preban, an M1a Scout which had been totally redone by Fulton Armory, with the Sage EBR stock. I paid $3,000, however when I put the first payment down that was pre election, now the shop said they would ask $5,000 for the whole set up. You could, if you wanted to do it on the cheap, get a polytech m1a for around 1,000 and buy the stock seperately for maybe 700-800.

Sub Sonic ammo does not generate enough gas energy to cycle the action.
The MK14 Mod 0 I'm firing in this video was built for me by Smith Enterprise, Inc.
Fisher made the SEI M14DC 0.30 Caliber sound suppressor.
