Samsung's Anti-Apple Campaign Doesn't Seem to be Doing Too Well

Apple and Samsung have been going at it for quite some time now and there will always be people who have their own preferences and like to keep it that way. Samsung has been doing its fair share of anti-Apple advertising, this was seen most recently with the “It doesn’t take a genius” advertisement which surfaced just this past weekend.

As part of its anti-Apple campaign, the Samsung Mobile USA Facebook page recently uploaded a picture of the Samsung Galaxy S III and asked people the following question: If you could only take one electronic device on to a deserted island, what would it be? Much to Samsung’s surprise, the majority of the comments didn’t lead to what they expected to hear. Many users ended up leaving comments stating “iPhone” or “iPhone 5” instead of choosing the Galaxy S III.

That is certainly a blow to Samsung’s efforts as one can imagine the effectiveness of the campaign being lackluster if such a response is being given. It puts the company in a bad spot and although it makes Apple fanboys seem a bit obnoxious, it seems to be pretty clear which device seems to be in more demand.

  • All this proves is that apple fans are obsessed enough to actively seek out competitor ad campaigns and troll them, pretty sad it seems.

  • I have an iPhone. People call and sometimes I answer. The best features on it are voicemail and caller ID which are provided by my service provider. Otherwise, I couldn't care less.

  • Apple has gone completely bonkers.. Next they will patent the act of taking a breath of air - remember, the air you breathe may have been in contact with an Apple product, hence you must pay for it.

"..., if there were no fucking apple services available." Muahahahahaaaaa!

All that Droiders need is the interwebs. The rest is up to your own skills. Sheeple LOVE Apple!

  • I don't really care, I'm going to wait 5 more years until the prices are reasonable for fancy crap like this. I don't need an app to go to work or eat food... yet...

  • Apple fanboys need to find a new purpose in life. Somehow Apple became one of the "good" countries, despite employing what is, essentially, slave labour.

And if you'd take an electronic device to a deserted island, you're an idiot. Try finding a recharge station on a palm tree.

  • Bunch of retarded kids.
What use is a fucking phone on a deserted island?
I would take a solar panel, infinitely more useful than a shitty phone that would only last a few days at most.

    • @sungam
What would you do with a solar panel if you have no electronic devices with you?

    • @fusselkater LOL what? A million things.
      Easily start fires, sparks duh.
Can make light bulbs, attach em up.
      Recharge home made batteries.

A solar panel would be a fantastic electronic device, I guess you are just to ignorant to see the limitless potential of having one.

    • @sungam You'r gonna make light bulbs on a desert island? I'd like to see you try.

    • @dorbie They said it is a deserted island, aka no people, not a desert island. So obviously there would be sand for glass making, rocks for extracting iron, forests for firewood for smelting furnaces. How the fuck do you think such items were made in the first place? They didn't have walmart back then ya ignorant fool.

    • @sungam Yea, you're a regular MacGuyver, dipshit. I doubt you could make wood in a survival situation.

      Lightbulb? Bollocks.
