Heavy duty talk. The man did what he had to as a soldier. I am sure very few days go by when he does not remember the battle. Once you have been in the shit, its always 15 minutes away.

Regardless of our opinions of whether is's good or bad to kill I think we can all agree that when you do it, it changes your life perspective forever and there's no returning to innocence. I for one am glad I served my country during a time of peace so I never had to confront this reality.

I watched this last night and thought it was an excellent program. The guy speaking in this video lost 40% of his brain after receiving a headshot from an Argentine sniper. He is physically paralysed down his L side. He now runs his own charity taking wounded veterans on adventure holidays.

nice little interview with the guy :
http://www.guardian.co.uk/uk/2007/jan/14/falklands.world
another sobering bit of info from the above link,
"Lawrence has attempted to discover what happened to all his comrades in the Falklands. Via the South Atlantic Medal Association, he requested MoD funding for a definitive assessment of what effect the war had exerted among the veterans: Where were they living? Had they married? Divorced? How many were still alive? The government refused to sup More..

It is sad because the guy pretending to be dead was probably a conscripted kid, but the soldier had little choice but to finish the job.

Historically .. British soldiers have been known for their mercyless brutality. This is documented in history book of all british colonies that managed to kick them out.
