Never enjoyed ice fishing.
Too cold. I do my fishing in the other three seasons of the year.
That being said, there ain't nothing tastier than lake trout, brown or rainbow, damn good eatin. The best, as far as I'm concerned.... especially when grilled up over an open fire with garlic, mayo and butter.
Oh man my gut just snarled at me, time for a snack.

Smother the foil you wrap the fish in with dollops of mayo and butter, sprinkle crushed garlic and... oh dammit, alright (you forced it out of me with that avi of yours LOL) a few generous dashes of real lemon juice (salt and pepper to taste), grill lightly on a spit stick over an open fire and voila, food fit for both men and gods, depending on how many Guinness you've had before judging yourself as such or either

Reminds me of the time I actually set off a smoke alarm dropping a "trout in the bog" at a buddy's cottage up in Lake of Bays, Ontario, after a night of gorging on venison, moose, bear and beer (and whisky and wine and Napoleon Brandy and god only remembers what else).

Of coarse he wants to eat it. I never saw a oriental pass up the chance to kill a fish. I must give credit cuz they dont waste a bit of the fish. Any living creature exposed or trapped in the tide pools at low tide are as good as dead if a oriental family happens to be on the prowl. The only thing that could save a creature in the tide pools from ending up in the mouth of a oriental is high tide or a tsunami.

ok... love the trout, nice size. but the rest kind of sucks.
i mean, i like my fishing with a big man rod, and open running water/rapids.
