He got off easy. He should have gotten lifetime without parole.
The news report says he was "regarded as an icon in his home state". Not true. His former boss, Joe Paterno, was the icon. Paterno was brought down for not going to police when stories of the abuse came to his attention.

I'm not defending this guy, and I'm sure he's guilty with all of these witnesses HOWEVER... He was never going to get a fair trial, this whole case has been set up by the media and stacked against him months before he was even given a chance to defend himself in court. But like I said, he's most likely guilty, so fuck it.

This is one reason Islam has such a bad name. Sure, he can USE our systems to get all the 'rights' he may be entitled by law to have access to. In the end however, there is NO 'rehabilitation' for these types of people.
So in consideration of moral or ethical axioms, I have to ask: What is the purpose of sentencing him to life in prison without parole. We (Western societies) squirm at the thought of killing members of society for anything less than 1st Degree murder.
