This is the sanitized version - pure propaganda by Rasengan.
What's not shown is what happened to the 20-odd soldiers guarding it.
They were marched up in front of the Iraqi soldiers over the border and the Syrian officer was dismembered alive - arms and legs cut off. Finally he was decapitated.
The remaining soldiers were shot.
This is not a popular revolution by patriots. It's a blood-soaked Salafist push for power and a Sharia State.

The BBC don't need to have reporters in this instance. The Iraqi news services carried this story. The BBC trusts their sources in Iraq and carried the story.
I will say that the BBC and the Guardian both have a strongly anti-Syrian Government agenda. That they both carried this story shows how powerful it is.

Dumb comment. There are no more sunnis in Iraq. They all got massacred slowly one by one by the iraqi shia militians posing as the government.
Why else didnt the US forces invade shia towns and districts or dismantle the mahdi army and other shia militias in iraq? Only the Sunni miltias got hit.
