    • @Dear Leader The stock market is no longer considered an economic indicator by anyone that knows it is an electronically wired gambliing casino. The vast majority of all the trading is computer to computer based on programs created by the "quants".

    • @echo4250 It is because of less overhead do to the economy, less to no expansion, trimmed all the fat, cut way back on advertising no point spending that money people are not spending etc.

    • @big_tex That might be true for some companies but not for all. I work for a company that expanded their work force for from 8 employees last year to 40 employees this year. They were losing money every quarter until this summer when they started turning in huge profits. We spent millions of dollars advertising at Cochella, WMC, Ultra Music Festival, SXSW, Lollapalooza, Agenda and CES.
