The police should stop protecting them. If a few of them get lynched by an angry mob, get some bloken linbs, busted teeth, broken nedks, 3rd degree burns from molotovs they would lay low for a looooong time.

The "Westboro Baptist Church" is not Christian, not Baptist, and not even a real church. It is Fred Phelps' personal cult. They meet in his house, and most of them are members of his own extended family.
