Even the New York Times Is Praising Progress In Iraq
It appears that even the New York Times is starting to illuminate the progress being made in Iraq. In a recent article, journalists show a stark contrast between the widespread violence of 2006 and today. Numerous interviews get a feel of life on the streets in Baghdad.
My personal favorite: In the 24 months that her sons were gone, Ms. Salman said she rarely ventured outside. The exception, she said, was when she saw American soldiers.
“Oh, I love them,” Ms. Salman said, brightening in her darkened house. “I always knew I was safe with them.”
