Music can make us happy and carefree, sad, thoughtful, energetic, sexy, and right fuckin mad (ie: Mosh pits and war drums and martial bagpipes), in it's turn.
It's an extension of our voices, our ability to communicate. More effective than mere words at times, I think, because it can make the people the musician's communicating to actually feel what he's feeling.
Even babies feel it.
