I absolutely agree with you and cannot get 1% of understanding for this either. I HEARD that in hospitals they sometimes have a bucket of water next to the bed in the hospital. So when a woman gives birth to a baby girl sometimes (when the parents want to) they immediately drown the baby, because later it shows as if the baby has drowned (during birth) in the water of the uterus (amniotic?). but you, as a legal parent, can't send the baby to adoption agencies because you are required to raise the child by law. In China biological parents have legal responsibility for their children even if they are adopted or have other guardians.

thousends of children found are adopted
Busloads of foreigners come every year to guangzhou to pick up their child
However last few years adoption procedure become more difficult , but i see still the busses with US people at the Swan hotel so i assume adoption is still allowed

No, I don't make moral integrity of our leaders an issue because almost all Chinese tell lies and anyone who is at that high position will become corrupt because of the systems, not to mention politicians. I just look at how much good they and their polices can do for the people. Corrupt officials won't surprise any Chinese. It is someone who is NOT corrupt that will surprise people here in China.
