Moncton Fire Department , Codiac RCMP & NB Ambulance were on scene at this structure fire at the corner of High & Gordon downtown Moncton this afternoon just after 5 PM. The last house left on this block , boarded up and being used by homeless people. RCMP were first on scene and started blocking off Gordon, High, Dominion . Firefighter had a hard time with a chain saw while trying to cut a hole in the roof. Young girl at the scene was worried about a couple of friends that were suppose to be inside the abandoned house sleeping. Firefighters had the fire under control by 5:35 PM.
