Carriage driver whips more from tired horse
This carriage had just unloaded a wedding party at an expensive hotel. The horse had just completed an uphill climb in the sun, looking very tired in the process. He's recovering in the shade, and just as he's starting to feel a little better, you can hear a whip or crop across his back as the carriage drivers decide to get moving again. The horse is so tired you can hear his horseshoes scraping the pavement was he walks. I've been around plenty of police horses in DC and not once heard their hooves scrape like this. Then again, one fat cop weighs less than a carriage with two drivers and a cargo of yuppies...

I thought that is why they invented crops.
To fucking hit the horse, sometimes HARD.
Poster needs some time on the farm.

@MAN_DOWN Someone should use a crop, or maybe a WHIP, on that asshole working a horse until he is on the verge of collapse!

@ANTIREDNECK
You should not need to use a crop to instruct a horse to move on.

@mock You should have seen him climbing the hill in the sun, with the wedding party on board: head down, scraping his hooves, drooling and sometimes foaming at the mouth

@dcdirectactionnews don't get me wrong i really like animals and horses are one of my favourite and i'm sure he was under pressure in fact it's probably a carraige that could do with two horses but horses are naturally very strong and once he rested he would be fine and he did look well cared for that said i didn't see him coming up the hill with the full carraige so i'm not going to disagree with you and i'm sure if the owner or man in charge at the time was told this if he was a true horse lov More..

I sure didn see any whip or "crop" that video. What you can hear is the sound to the carriage moving forward as well as the horse's hooves as it steps off.
The horse is not sweatty and is not breathing hard iat all and is not tired.
The carriage weighs about 1,000 and the horse about 1,800 lbs. A horse can pull three and a half times its own weight. So allowing 1000 lbs for the carriage, that means that this horse could pull four "fat yuppies" the dirver and footman even i More..

@CarriageHorseLover Look at the first few frames after the horse comes back into view, and you will see a crop just touching the horse(second contact). The reaction of the other people in unison as the cracking sound is made identifies the sound. Nobody would react like that to just the carriage starting to move.

Why don't you report on obama and holder's gun running down in old Mexico?

@shacklord Don't you mean Eric Holder's efforts to enforce the Voting Rights act against states that try to use Voter ID laws to disenfranchise people deemed unlikely to vote for the GOP?

@shacklord You posted the comment below, which has absolutely NO relevance to the issue at hand in the video above, and only repeated in more detail your first comment:

No... I'm talking about letting guns get into mexico via straw purchases. These very guns are now being used for numerous drug cartel murders. Fast & Furious?? Never heard of it?"

You could have taken off your belt, caught up with the carriage and hit the driver with the buckle end a couple of times.

@capner Possible, but we were worried about spooking the horse. If the horse panicked, he could have gotten a broken leg.
Also, my cloth belt is not an effective whip. My bike lock, of course, is another story.
