Police protect Australian PM Julia Gillard from her citizens: Canberra
Police were called to help protect the Welshist Australian PM from angry protesters in Canberra.
Gillard lost a shoe but was otherwise unhurt.
Protesters had been taking part in an event to mark the 40th anniversary of the nearby Aboriginal Tent Embassy when they surrounded The Lobby restaurant and banged on the three glass sides, chanting "shame" and "racist".

They were radical Aborigines attacking and that is pretty standard for them.
They weren't attacking the Prime MInister as such but she was there with the Leader of the Opposition who had made a mild comment earlier that race relations had improved enough that the 'Aboriginal tent embassy' was no longer relevant.
The radical Aborigines did not prove him wrong. They proved that radical Aborigines are as violent and intolerant as ever.

One of the Aboriginal protestors stole the Prime Minister's shoe straight off her foot as they were trying to get her out. Then she held up the shoe at an Aboriginal assembly behind a lectern while talking on a mic, claiming her pride that she'd aquired a "Souvenir".
Then I thought, "Nooo, an Aboriginal wouldn't steal anything... Perish the thought..."

These protestors/rioters stole the dignity from an awards ceremony for the national emergency medals. I was there, the conduct of these people was appalling, the foul language the taunting of police and rude getures sugeted to me that their upbringing has been flawed in some way.
