Some Amazing Facts about Life part1
Saw these videos posted on a science forum. Although most of this isn't "news" to the nerd in me I like the way the info is presented. Though the accent annoys me sometimes. Probably won't interest a lot of you but oh well.

Allah wouldn't know the difference between a magnet and a goat. Just something else to screw with.

No mention of quantum mechanics. It is there that the basic events of life occur unnoticed (as far as we now now).

I prefer to call it Quantum Theory. But you can't explain it in 8 minutes.

@Teslagraaf The scientific quest speaks well of humans, but I'm not sure we are up to the task, however many instruments we invent. Perhaps we shall have to redesign our brain to cope with upcoming challenges.

Nah. Just let us kill each other and have evolution start from scratch. Couldn't possibly get it this wrong a second time.

At minimum, quantum mechanics is certainly crucial to uncovering some of the deeper subtleties of chemistry.
Some have theorized that it relates somehow to the character of mind and/or spirit.

One might consider we are doing that very thing.

Not exactly a primer on chemistry, nor on biochemistry. The narrator skips over huge gaping canyons-full of information, arriving magically at the folding of proteins when really he's gone barely beyond the basics of the chemical properties of water.
But many a student can fill in the gaps, in which case it all makes sense. Definitely my kinda science.

I didn't get that feeling of skipping info. But then I studied math/organic chem. It's not supposed to be a uni course.
