are you sure? you even admit they're used for public transport, all of London's underground overground and Mainline stations are all integrated thru these tags, without them it wouldn't work, anything can be misused but fear of this particular tag is vastly misplaced.

RFID is EVERYWHERE. And it is a worry that you can be tracked right across the transit system and elsewhere. RFIDs are in your passport, on your Credit Cards and will be on your Identity Card - when you get one.
