A few months ago I lost my best friend. We got him from the pound,he knew me better than I knew myself. He was only 6 and we had him for 5 years, he got bitten by a spider and after a month with the vet he came home and after only a day he dxied in my lap. I can't explain the sorrow that consumed me, his bed wasn't the only empty thing he left behind. To this day I cry when I see his face in a picture. He is the large brown dog in my avitar. Awh shit man, that's horrible, actually teared up a bit.
Had to give my dog a huge hug, he just turned 4 in September, still many years left.
I couldn't even imagine losing him :(
I got mine from a dog refuge home when he was 3 months old. He's greyhound cross wolf hound.
Might I suggest rescuing a pup from a similar place?

I had a springer spaniel, we had won her from a hunting show, 5 dollar raffel ticket, got her, i was in 5th grade, then we had a litter of pups, one of the pups went to my grandfather, he loved that dog, but he died, so we took the pup back, then my parents died, so my aunt took the dog, they put it down about a month or 2 ago, great great dogs, very good with kids, very loyal, miss tem dearly, sorry for ur loss

Lovely dog. Their loyalty is second to none. Have a Jack Russell and I never rated the breed but they are an amazing animal. Sorry that your buddy is gone.
