Syria: Unstoppable fire - what type of weapon?
Two recent videos from the outskirts of Damascus showing the aftermath of a bombing. Two bombs allegedly came down, one exploded and the other came down in a parachute and started to burn as can still be seen. Nothing seems t stop the burning. Loads of water didn't help nor sand. Napalm/Phosphorus?

It's called a gas main dumb asses. A bomb has limited chemical energy, it cannot burn indefinitely. Looks like there's a gas main leaking and on fire.

Gas line on fire, will not put out with water, better luck with Chemical Powder Extinguisher! But yuo DONT want that fire out, or a blast will be inminent.
Phosphorus burn white and sparkles, vapors are poisonus and deadly in matter of just a few minutes!
Napalm can be put out with water, after 10 minutes of the main blast.
Gasoline and other flammable fires CAN NOT be put out with water, as the water make the fire worse! Contain with sand and use special FOAM for that purpose!

@Rodja They are in a very soluble civil situation, the propper way to find the source of the fire is going block by block shutting down all the gas grid, i really doubt they can do that over there (snipers, tanks, IED, bombs and so on)
That fire for sure is extinguished by now. Could be a very old low pressure gas system buried and a ruptured concrete line will seems like "Out of this world fire"
and is just a simple leak.
