  • Compared to the rest of the middle east and Arabian peninsula Turkey is a role model, financially, democratically and economically. Life in Turkey is better than most other countries in the region. Trust me, i would know, i lived in Istanbul and Ankara for a total of 2 years.

Before this goverment, turkey was more of a lenin/dictatorship goverment it was less secular Then the goverment of today, they are doing a bang up job in a region of conflict. Kurds and Turks have no issues infact the current goverment is influence is based from a kurdish imam sayid nursi there are many kurdish politicians serving under the current goverment. You as a afgan should worry about afganistan,

  • Turkey has a disgusting Islamist-based, oppressive and extremely corrupt government. Atatürk will be turning in his grave and with good reason. He lived for independence of the Turks, but also for the independence of humanity, and fought for gender equality, peace, progressiveness and secularism. I'm glad this video acknowledges the vile government in power (that looks like it's there to stay for quite a while).

      I mentioned the Kurd issue to counter this Erodgans hypocrasy. I have Kurd friends in the Uk who are exiles from Turkey and they speak of all kinds of discrimination etc but that's another issue. I am not against Turkey, Turkey has always been my familys best tourist resort, I have a lot of respect for Turks. I just think Turkey is falling into the wrong hands.
