This video just proves that some skateboarders don't have common sense. When you know (and EVERYBODY DOES KNOW) that it is illegal to skateboard somewhere and a cop comes and tells you to stop skateboarding, you just SHUT THE **** UP and STOP SKATEBOARDING. This kid thought he knew better - like calling a police officer "DUDE". 14 years old is NOT 6 years old. HE KNEW PERFECTLY WELL, how inappropriate his words were. But since he has no common sense, he ignored that knowledge... These kids are breaking the law, no matter how "little" their crimes may look... The cop is enforcing the law, no matter how "extreme" the measures he chose (to give a lecture and to take a skateboard away)... When there's a crime vs law situation, I am very sorry, but I am always siding with the law... BTW: He didn't "touch that kid", he just took his skateboard away and the kid resisted. Some people just don't see the truth even if it's right in front of their very eyes... This kid was very lucky to be left alone with a lecture... With his attitude and actions, he could have spent some time right where the cop said. Good cop, MAD kid.

The cop did his job here, he told the punk to stop skating and he ignored him. I bet anything this kids parents dont discipline him at all, this was probably the most discipline he had ever experienced in his life. **** that punk and anyone else who dosent discipline their children. Put the painkillers down houswife and be a mother.

UPDATE:A 17-year veteran of the Baltimore police force has been suspended with pay pending an internal investigation of his actions involving a 14-year-old skateboarder at Baltimore's Inner Harbor.
The confrontation occurred this past summer and was captured on a video camera by the young man's friend.
In the video, Officer Salvatore Rivieri tells the boy that skateboarding is illegal. The officer becomes angry when the boy says, "I didn't do anything wrong, dude."
Officer Rivieri is seen grabbing the skateboard and pushing the boy to the ground.
"The police commissioner and the mayor and the top command staff saw the video this morning and are disappointed. The officer has been suspended with pay, pending an internal investigation," Sterling Clifford told Richard Sher.

Well Done that cop,some of these kids need discipline and whats wrong with abit of good old fashioned clip round the ear.
Kids in the UK are getting out of control and nothing can be done about it because cops are to scared to speak or do anything thats a little out of line because the kids know they can get them screwed.
3 little bastards have been jailed today for murdering a father of 3 who went out to stop the little twats vandalising his and his neighbours cars and got kicked to death for his troubles,they got 12 years each,probably do about 6 at a stretch 7 years in a cosy cell with all the home comforts.
Little cunts should go to Boot Camp and learn some respect then they might get some back.

Cop took it too far, but there's really no excuse for disregarding commands from a police officer. Kids -hell, I- say dude and man all the time too, but anyone with common sense knows to suspend that kind of talk when dealing with a police officer as well. Kid didn't deserve to be manhandled, and deserved a less hostile verbal thrashing. Cops need to learn that they can't take out all their pent up frustration from dealing with kids on ONE kid. Kid also needs to understand even if he said 'Dude, I didn't do anything wrong', and skating is illegal where he was, then he indeed did do something wrong.

I agree with both sides of the story. Kids just don't know when to shut the hell up. But the cop shouldn't of put is hands on him, that was going a little to far. But there are some kids out there that do need a good ass kicking.
