Gov. Christie Slams Education Org: "Devoid Of A Publicly Supportable Agenda"

Gov. Chris Christie (R-NJ) slams that New Jersey Education Association (NJEA), an NJ education organization that prayed for him to die.

"The public is tired, tired of ever escalating property taxes. They are tired of people not willing to join in the shared sacrifice. And let me tell you something else. These guys and women standing behind me who are working to try to get jobs and who pay for a large portion of their own health care and who contribute mightily towards their retirement, -- I'm not speaking for them, but I have a sense that-- they are tired of paying for public employees who've contributed nothing to their health care and who are getting 4 and 5-percent salary increases in a time of 0% inflation," Christie said.
Chris Christie for president!!!!

    • No sh*t.

This guy is a straight talker and, most importantly, a real leader who is facing the problems head on and bullshit free.

Rock on Governor Christie. Keep it honest like this and the taxpaying citizens of New Jersey will back you.

And fvck the scumbag leeches who are the NJEA.

  • the mentality change in America is interesting. truth be told, our very nature(country) needs a leader. we're changing from wanting a daddy that's holding our hands as we walk, to wanting one that will keep all our asses in line.

    • Some of us don't want a daddy.
We want to be left alone!

    • very true... but while we're being left alone, the vast majority of Americans are starting to realize the wisdom in the gov having minimal and simplistic laws that are unbiasedly and strictly enforced.

what i was saying, was simply that it was interesting to see a major change in the conciousness of people.

95 percent of people are followers... without acknowledging that we need to elect leaders (psychological, militaristic and economic - i.e. the gov), we would be iraq or some other cou More..

  • It really is a sad statement on politicians when a guy telling the plain truth is looked upon in awe and viewed as a cavalier renegade. He's an example of what politicians should be.

  • I WANT HIM AS MY GOV

  • Fine, bash the teachers. I wonder what he'll say when the State police start demanding the same things as the teachers. He'll shut up quick then!

    Posted Jun-4-2010 By

    • He did not bash teachers. As a matter of fact, he lauded them.
It's the teacher's UNION he was bashing, and they well deserve it.
The state police have thier own deal, and if their union did what the teacher's union has done, I'll bet CC would be on it just lke the teacher's union.
Your comment shows the fact that you are either in the union's pocket, or you have very poor comprehnsion skills.
      Bad teachers?
