Dean Martin and John Wayne

I am 27 yrs old, grew up watching the old shows/movies these 2 guys would do together, with my Grandparents. I came across this clip thought I would share... Wish all parents would want the things that John Wayne says here.

Enjoy. :)

  • No truer and honorable American ever lived. Fantastic post and without question or hesitation a well deserved vote.

Shame,if he was still alive. He would want to leave the US.

If he were still alive he'd kick your ass from his wheel chair.

HA! No wheel chair ever existed that could harness the Duke. That man had half his stomach removed, and a lung and you still found him in the saddle making American movie classics. "True Grit" was never labeled to a greater man.

  • As much as I enjoyed his movies growing up I enjoyed his interviews even more.(few that they were) For such a giant of a man he could be extremely gentle and very polite. But it was the conviction in his voice and words that made one pay attention to him when he spoke. Never bad mouthed America and always spoke his heart and his mind. There are still men like him but a lot of them are part timers.

He was not only correct but his statement could, and does apply to every Nation on Earth. Funny how that works eh.

True. (There were great numbers of people who needed oil, and the Iraqis were selfishly trying to keep it for themselves.)

    etc.

Hoarding land and hoarding resources are 2 entirely different matters.

As far as "needing" oil?? Naw. People around the World "want" oil. Thankfully we get very little if any oil from Iraq so the rest of you need to stop "NEEDING" so much.

Agreed. But not for long I predict. The time has come for "fulltime" John Waynage.

Water and grazing land are resources, and were fought over long before oil. If you study any war, it's usually over resources or real estate.

No way? When land was fought for, real estate played a part? No shit. Thanks for the info.

    Traditions often suck.
His style is mostly gone - respect, honor, and strength, mixed with a liberal dose of patriotism. Very few celebs earn my admiration. Thank you Mr. Morrison.

I am atheist, but I still thank GOD for these United States....I think most American's have forgotten that....just look at Obama...
