Alcoholism isn't a disease, alcoholism is consciously purchasing or otherwise obtaining a beverage and then ingesting it despite the burning sensation it brings to your throat and stomach. See, now a real disease, like Lou Gehrig's, is something you have no active role in creating and gradually kills you even if you simply adjust your behavior.
