  • That's clearly a 1.5-Beaked Lovebird. I'm afraid you got suckered, my friend.

If I were you, I'd try to play up the funny birthmark above it's right (my left) eye. Looks like an Izod Lacoste logo seen in the wrong aspect ratio. I could be wrong.

  • Same as a couple of others said, this particular lovebird looks like had its beak broken at some point in the last year or so - it doesn't make it a rare bird though, just an unfortunate one.

Additionally it's in some distress - trembling wings. Give it lots of affection and it'll love you back for the next 20 years or so :-)

  • DUDE!

    His pecker is broken!

...not that I'm an expect with that kind of thing.

Other then that, it's a Kool Fine Lovely bird. Enjoy.

  • The audio makes it stoopid funny, but this bird's got some problems.

  • Yep very rare unless you have a lot of birds that fly into windows and break their beaks. Then it would be on the not so rare list. Good news is if it dies you can make a nice little dinner out of them. couple potatoes maybe some corn.

  • Very cute bird! We had a black-masked as a companion for a cockatiel. They were allowed to fly, but we had to change the lovebirds name from Squeak to Shredder after the way he treated anything he could get his beak on.
I hope you take him to a vet to remove the "old" or broken beak parts. They didn't detach and this could make it hard for him to eat or drink as the newest beak grows in.

  • I've never heard of a triple-beaked lovebird. Looks like a regular lovebird with an abnormal beak, possibly from neglect.

I think you've been had, rlnbns.
