Hail as big as chicken eggs came falling down on the Rostov and Stavropol region destroying windows and coach work and even wounded people. About 300 flat blocks and another 3,000 small houses have suffered from the hails storm, including seven schools, six kindergarten and two hospitals. A couple of towns have no electricity, many windows have been completely destroyed and roofs have to be reconstructed. The destruction in the two regions in the south of Russia is estimated at 10 million rubles (c.400,000 USD).
